We are returning to the Sea of Cortez for the 4th Annual Wander Women to benefit Dive for a Cure. Join Dora, Susan and Diana for the third annual, all-ladies trip aboard Quino el Guardian! It's like summer dive camp for women. And to make it even more special, we are donating 5% of the trip price to Dive for a Cure for breast cancer research. We will again be diving with the fabulous crew aboard the Quino el Guardian.
The Sea of Cortez - known as the Gulf of California - is a breathtaking destination for scuba diving, snorkeling, and exploration. Legendary diver Jacques Cousteau described the Sea of Cortez as the "world's aquarium". Dive on untouched walls and reefs abounding in marine life. Encounter large and small whale species. Snorkel with whale sharks. Dive with playful sea lion colonies. And see countless eels, octopus, fish and jumping mobula rays. It's a macro photographers dream with nudibranchs, colorful blennys, dancing jawfish and sea horses.
Between dives, you can hike and explore remote uninhabited islets and at night you can gaze at the Milky Way. You will dine on incredible cuisine and enjoy the friendly service that has made us famous. Give us one week and we will help you create a lifetime of memories while forging new friendships aboard Quino el Guardian.
This trip has VERY limited space available, so if you are interested please contact Eugene Skin Diver Supply immediately.
Liveaboard prices start at $2400 based on quad occupancy for this exclusive event.

On this fabulous trip we will be visiting two different locations to experience the very best of Fiji.
For the first half of our adventure we will be staying at VoliVoli Beach Resort on Fiji’s north shore. Many of the Eugene Skin Divers Supply staff and guests travel to Volivoli because of its proximity to Bligh Water (also known as The Vatu-I-Ra Passage). This area is a marine protected area famous for its abundance and diversity of marine life which is arguably the best diving in Fiji. This area offers dive sites that are a mixture of walls, bommies and drift dives, all of which are teaming with life and color. Sites like Black Magic Mountain, Mellow Yellow and Instant Replay will soon be etched in your memory forever!
This leg of our journey includes:
For the second half of your travels, we will transfer to the south end of the island to Waidroka Bay Resort on the Beqa Lagoon where our group will stay until our departure on July 2nd. This location offers easy access to the lagoon as well as 20 other dive sites just minutes from the resort. Our resort has a fleet of five dive boats, a well-equipped PADI Dive Center, an extremely passionate and experienced dive staff, and are well suited for dive groups like ours. Combined with the friendliest and happiest of people, fascinating culture, and landscapes of lush tropical rain-forest, your Fiji trip is guaranteed to be an adventure.
Beqa Lagoon is world famous for its soft-coral and marine life, perfectly reflecting the variety and diversity of Fiji’s diving. Beqa is also home to the world’s top shark dives! The Beqa Lagoon is one of the world’s largest barrier reefs and is surrounded by over 190 miles of spectacular coral. The reef is world renowned for its spectacular soft coral and abundant marine life and boast Fiji’s largest variety of diving in one centralized area. This natural jewel is easily accessible directly from the airport on the main island, Viti Levu, and is so inspiring it is also called “THE MECCA OF PACIFIC DIVING”. Beqa Lagoon is home to Fiji’s world famous FIJI SHARK DIVES !
This segment of the trip Includes:
In 2008, Eugene Skin Divers Supply organized and co-sponsored the first annual Dive for a Cure at the Woahink Lake Day Use Area (Gazebo) in Florence, OR and raised almost $20,000. Over the last 12 years, participants in Dive for a Cure have significantly raised increasing amounts.
All proceeds from money raised from Dive for a Cure are donated to the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute for breast cancer research and education. Oregon Health Sciences University is a tax-deductible non-profit IRS 501(C) (3) organization. You can help personally by participation or a generous pledge to Dive for a Cure.

There is nothing quite like the experience of another world. Only a very few have left our planet but millions have experienced the other 71% of our world. If you feel the tug of the aquatic realm, you’ve come to the right place. Tens of thousands of underwater explorers started right here.
Scuba lessons unlock the door to new adventures and amazing animal encounters. By the end of your
scuba certification course, you’ll see our ocean planet through new eyes. We have long been affiliated with PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors). It is the most recognized dive training organization in the world (28 million certifications and counting).
A scuba diving certification, also known as an Open Water Diver certification, allows you to dive anywhere in the world. Similar to driving a car, scuba diving requires specific knowledge, skills and training. A PADI Open Water Diver certification allows you to seek adventure anywhere where there’s water. During the PADI Open Water Diver course, you'll learn what you need to know to explore the underwater world using scuba. Most people find it a rewarding challenge.
The PADI Open Water Diver course includes three parts: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives. Knowledge Development covers the principles, concepts and terms you need to know for dive safety and enjoyment. During the Confined Water Dives, you learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. You'll enjoy making one or more minidives, which take you through the same steps you follow when you make open water dives. To complete training you practice, apply and demonstrate what you learn during four Open Water Dives at a local dive site.
Earning a PADI Open Water Diver certification shows that you met the course requirements. Dive centers and resorts require proof of certification before they will rent scuba equipment, fill scuba cylinders or book dive excursions. As a PADI Open Water Diver, you'll be trained to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet, and are qualified to dive in conditions as good as, or better than, those in which you trained. It's just the beginning of a lifetime filled with dive adventures.
If you just want to try scuba diving, we also offer a short experience called Discover SCUBA Diving in a pool or pool-like environment, with an optional open water dive. It’s a quick and easy way to find out if you like scuba diving, but it’s not a certification course.
All of our SCUBA education activities are taught by a trained professional. Our PADI Instructors are well experienced divers before they even undergo the weeks of rigorous training for certification to ensure your scuba class is fun and safe. Choosing an instructor is an important step in taking those first steps to discovery. We invite you to join us. Let your adventure begin!

When you join a trip with Eugene Skin Divers Supply, we take care of the details for you. On our inclusive trips (unless otherwise noted) we organize the travel arrangements, coordinate the boat diving, and if it is a warm water trip, we even schedule the lodging accommodations. All of our trips are staffed by Eugene Skin Diver Supply personnel, so you know if there are any concerns while on the trip we will address them immediately.
On a trip with Eugene Skin Divers Supply, all you have to do is have fun.
The waters off Roatán’s shores are unspoiled and scarcely populated by other divers with crystal clear visibility and numerous and varied dive sites to explore. The majority of the island’s dive sites need to be accessed by boat. The diving is fantastic and easy and we want you to experience the excellence of Roatan with us.
Join us and Faith Ortins with Blue Green Expeditions on a commemorative expedition to Antarctica. We will honor the contribution of the HMS Challenger where they crossed the southern polar circle and expanded our understanding of the world’s oceans while simultaneously exploring Antarctica.
We're going back to one of our favorite places in March 2024. Dive with us on the jewel of the Caribbean and stay on the island March 23rd thru the 30th of 2024. Bonaire’s sea abounds with beautiful marine life and a fascinating variety of multi-colored tropical fish - superb for both scuba diving and snorkeling.
This combination destination adventure, including a liveaboard and resort stay, will be one for the bucket lists of many a diver. Aboard the Atlantis Azores liveaboard and at the Dumaguete resort we will explore the waters and lagoons of the Philippine islands. Reserve your spot soon, space is limited.
Eugene Skin Divers Supply opened its doors in 1956 when Don Hollingshead and a partner purchased the air compressor and remaining equipment from a store that was closing down. The first Eugene Skin Divers Supply was operated in the back room of an appliance store on Blair Blvd.
After several years there, Don bought out his partner and moved the store several blocks away to its own location. In 1969 the store was moved to its current location on 6th St. in to an old house. In 1992 our present building was completely remodeled and added on to. Now we keep making modifications to change with this fast growing sport.
Today the store is owned and operated by Don's son Michael and Michael's wife Diana. Together with their highly trained staff, Eugene Skin Divers Supply offers the divers of the Pacific Northwest the highest level of service and professionalism. The staff owes a lot to our founder Don Hollingshead who passed away in June of 1991. Those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him personally have had our lives enriched.
This page is dedicated to his memory.
