The waters off Roatán’s shores are unspoiled and scarcely populated by other divers with crystal clear visibility and numerous and varied dive sites to explore. The majority of the island’s dive sites need to be accessed by boat, though there are a few exceptions and Infinity Bay is one of them.
West Bay Beach is located directly at the longest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere and the second largest in the world. As a diver in Roatán, you will encounter marine life in all sizes and shapes, including 70 types of hard corals and nearly 500 species of fish.
Like the name says, there is a Garden of Eels down at about 65 feet. Huge white shallow sand patches make it ideal for students on their first dive and it's perfect for snorkeling as the top of the wall is only 20 feet.
El Aguila (The Eagle) is a 63 meter/210 foot cargo boat that rests on a deep sand basin between two large coral outcroppings. The ship was intentionally sunk in 1997 to make room for a new premier dive site.
A spectacular precipice borders a deep blue abyss with pillar corals, azure vase sponges and barrel sponges. While in the deeper water, divers are likely to find themselves among schools of pelagic and Eagle Rays.
Blue Channel is in fact a channel that starts from the inner part of the reef and flows out toward the coral ridge, starting at 10 feet and then to 45 feet at the top of the wall.
Infinity Divers Aqua Center also offers specialty dive activities such as night dives and shark dives for those who register separately.
Two days after the full moon and for another 10 nights afterward, night dives are an absolute MUST here in Roatán. After every full moon, a special phenomenon occurs that we call "The Strings of Pearls." This is when microscopic pelagic shrimps leave trails of phosphorescence that simulate a trail of lights in the water.
This dive offers the opportunity to commune with sharks in their natural habitat. The sharks we dive with are all female Caribbean Reef Sharks, displaying a daytime schooling behavior known only to a few species of sharks.
Eugene Skin Divers Supply is headed to one of the most enchanting places on earth, Galapagos! This is a combination trip where we will have the unique ability to explore both the islands on land and underwater while staying aboard our vessel, the M/V Aqua. These remote islands off the coast of Ecuador are nature's evolutionary laboratory and perfectly situated between the ocean currents to create a diverse ecosystem unlike any other. The archipelago contains more distinct species of flora and fauna than any other place on earth! Our longer and custom itinerary gives us the time to explore more remote islands looking for unique animal behaviors and interactions. On land, we can see the blue footed booby, Galapagos penguins, marine iguanas, sea lions, many endemic species of birds and of course the Galapagos Tortoises!
Underwater, the Galapagos Islands are even more amazing! While this is not prime whale shark season, there are plenty of shark opportunities with hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, and white tips as well as seals, mola molas and many other big animals. As an added value, Eugene Skin Divers Supply is taking care of many of the logistics of this trip by incorporating the domestic flights, the hotel in Quito on November 1, 2025, and all the transfers to and from the airport, hotel, and the boat in the cost. Let us make your experience in the Galapagos a smooth hassle-free journey that you will never forget!

On this fabulous trip we will be visiting two different locations to experience the very best of the Philippines.
Our first stop on this Philippine adventure will be aboard the Atlantis Azores liveaboard. This beautiful 107 foot aluminum monohull will be our home for 7 nights where we will explore some of the best diving in the world in the Sulu Sea at the center of the Coral Triangle between Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Rarely visited due to its location and its status as a marine preserve, Tubbataha is made up of two reefs, simply referred to as the North and South Reefs. The North and South Reefs both enclose a sandy lagoon. On the southern tip is an islet with a lighthouse used as a rookery for birds and is frequented by turtles. Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is home to no less than 573 species of fish, 373 species of corals, 11 species of sharks, 12 species of dolphins and whales, nestling hawksbill and green sea turtles. A veritable splendure of ocean perfection - these 7 days will be incredible.
We finish our south seas adventure in Dumaguete - the frogfish capital of the Philippines. Dumaguete, with its black volcanic sandy beaches, offers divers a great opportunity to see unique macro marine life on sandy patches, hard coral reefs, and artificial reefs (including cars, various structures, and more!). And most dive sites are a mere minutes from the resort. From Dumaguete, we can dive over 20 coastal dive sites, the healthy reefs around Apo Island with over 400 documented species of corals (that’s 65% of the world’s corals!), the vibrant walls of Siquijor, and snorkeling with whale sharks in Oslob!
Dumaguete resort has a dive shop with first class facilities including camera facilities, hot water showers, air - nitrox - or trimix fills, and valet dive services.

We're going back to one of our favorite places in March 2024 - Bonaire. For this trip we are staying at the wonderful Belmar Oceanfront Apartments. Dive with us on the jewel of the Caribbean. With as many as 60 officially listed dive sites on Bonaire and another 20 dive sites on Klein Bonaire, diving in Bonaire is spectacular. And staying at the Belmar Oceanfront Apartments is the best way to enjoy the island. The dive operation at Belmar Oceanfront Apartments is geared up for you to make the most out of your dive vacation. With a fleet of custom dive boats and a well stocked ‘Drive Thru’ offering air and nitrox tanks, every divers needs can be satisfied. Bonaire’s sea abounds with beautiful marine life and a fascinating variety of multi-colored tropical fish. The sea is remarkably calm and conditions are superb for both scuba diving and snorkeling.
On average, Bonaire’s visibility exceeds 100 feet (30 meters) and our average water temperature is 80 degrees Fahrenheit (29c). The fringing reef begins close to the shore, usually a short 30 feet (10 meters) swim or less, making Bonaire world renowned for its ease of shore diving.
Bonaire’s waters offer something special for every diver. Novice divers will appreciate the calm waters, reefs that run parallel to shore, and minimal currents. These conditions make it an ideal location to really work on improving those buoyancy skills! And the abundance of marine life living along the shallow drop-off area of the reef slope allows for maximum bottom time, while giving new divers an opportunity to develop a level of comfort and confidence in their newly learned skills.
Nitrox gas is readily available and certified Enriched Air Nitrox divers will benefit on multi-dive days. And, a request from the operators on the island, “to help us keep our reef environment healthy for many years to come, we do encourage all divers traveling to Bonaire to familiarize themselves with the Marine Park Regulations prior to their visit.”
We need to be on the island March 23rd thru the 30th of 2024. Call today to reserve your place on a must attend diving adventure.

1. Bonaire’s National Marine Park was founded in 1979 and includes the underwater world around Bonaire and even around Klein Bonaire.
2. Bonaire’s Washington Slagbaai National Park comprises of two former land plantations, Washington & Slagbaai. These two plantations once supplied salt, charcoal, aloe extract, and goats for export to Curaçao and Europe.
3. The island has over 22 beaches, of which some sometimes disappear and appear. This depends on the tides and other natural causes like wind and waves.
4. Many people have seen dolphins swimming by between Bonaire and Klein Bonaire.
5. Yellow painted rocks on the side of the road or along the coast mark the dive sites on Bonaire.
- yellow rocks facts about bonaire
6. These yellow rocks can also indicate ‘do not enter’. This is because, for example, it is a marine reserve that does not allow snorkelers or divers. It could also be because birds lay eggs in that area and you are not allowed to walk there.
7. Did you know it is possible to go hiking on Bonaire? You can hike various trails in the North of Bonaire. For example the Dos Pos Trail or the trail via Gotomeer.
8. Sometimes, people on Bonaire come across an iguana chilling in their swimming pool. It looks pretty funny to see an iguana swim!
9. Scuba Diving Magazine’s Annual Readers’ Choice Awards recognized Bonaire as the number one Shore Diving Destination in the Caribbean/Atlantic for the 24th consecutive year!
10. There is a flip-flop tree on Bonaire that has at least 150 flip-flops! Though has anyone ever counted them?
11. Bonaire has colorful, healthy coral reefs all around the island AND around Klein Bonaire!
12. Even though the temperature almost never drops below 25oC (77oF), Bonaire has snow-like mountains!
13. It takes a few days for a ship to load thousands of tons of Bonaire’s salt onto the ship via a conveyor belt. And if it is raining, the conveyor belt has to stop.
14. The stories of 10-15 workers having to sleep in the slave huts around 1850 are not true. Studies prove that each hut was often occupied by only 1 or 2 workers.
15. Because of Bonaire’s own water filtering system, tap water in almost all houses and hotels on Bonaire is good for consumption and delicious!
16. Last of all, Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire confirmed a total of 114 healthy turtle nests in 2016, which makes 2016 the highest nesting year ever for STCB!
For this excursion, we go with a purpose to the rich and cold waters of the other end of the world. Along with Michael and Diana Hollingshead, we will join Faith Ortins and Blue Green Expeditions, other polar diving specialists, imagemakers, and scientists on an amazing citizen science expedition to Antarctica! This Polar Circle and Antarctic Peninsula expedition will take us south of Antarctica, crossing the Polar Circe. We will pass through waters traveled by whales, anchoring in various spots around the region. This expedition offers a chance to hike and dive in the iceberg-heavy waters of the last continent.
February 2024 represents the 150th anniversary of HMS Challenger’s crossing of the southern polar circle. Modern oceanography began with the HMS Challenger Expedition between 1872 and 1876. It was the first expedition organized specifically to gather data on a wide range of ocean features; including ocean temperatures, seawater chemistry, currents, marine life, and the geology of the seafloor. A crew of 200 and 20 naval officers supported six scientists from varying disciplines – naturalists, chemists, physicists and even an artist to chronicle the voyage and its discoveries. Within their four year journey they covered 127,000 km and the information they gathered is still used by scientists today.
Our expedition is to honor their contribution to understanding of the world’s oceans while simultaneously exploring Antarctica. This adventure is much more than just a dive trip. If you join us, we will pool our resources and time to assist scientists and imagemakers in adding to our understanding of the Antarctic region - as well as experiencing our own adventure – in Antarctica!.
1. Top generate $150,000 in donations for organizations dedicated to developing interest in marine careers such as Our World Underwater Scholarship Society (OWUS) and the American Academy of Underwater Sciences Foundation (AAUS). These entities foster training and educational opportunities for young people interested in scientific pursuits as it relates to the ocean.
2. To contribute ~$22,000 to carbon offsets to minimize the environmental impact of the expedition’s carbon footprint.
3. To use the images/video from the professionals and data collected by the citizen scientists to develop multimedia educational tools for use across a variety of platforms, including live streaming to classrooms.
4. To recognize the significance of Challenger’s contribution to oceanography and its relevance to today, especially as it relates to the study of climate change.
5. To bring imagemakers to Antarctica whose combined efforts will actively contribute to greater appreciation and understanding of the delicate Antarctic ecosystem.
6. To use the expertise of the scientists on board to explore new areas above and below the water with the assistance of citizen scientists. These projects include plankton tows, reef surveys of key indicator species, sample collections, and marine mammal identification.
7. Lastly, to enjoy the travel, memories, and an event of a lifetime.
